Whale Shark

A friend mentioned she'd been looking up whale shark facts, so that gave me an idea for a blip.

Apparently the sharks are able to retract their eyes. They do not have eyelids and their eyes are at risk of damage because of their prominent position, so this helps to protect their vision. The eyes are also surrounded by "eye denticles", which are similar to the mineralised scales the sharks have on the rest of their bodies.
