Tiny (not)

This enormous machine has appeared outside our house and is scraping the surface off the road.   It's apparently (hopefully) going to be resurfaced later.  The whole road is full of machines, lorries and men in yellow jackets.   Shame it has coincided with bin collection day!

We had the foresight to move our cars into the village hall car park earlier.   They told us that at no point would the road be blocked but there is no way anything can get up or down the road at present.  Hope there isn't a fire or medical emergency!

Mind you,  the inconvenience will be worth it as the road has been in a dreadful state for some time.   I'm glad it is an adopted road because the cost of this must be enormous.
