Mono Monday 528 :: MM528 :: Sphere

The globe and a glass bowl sitting next to each other on a shelf in a famous outlet store. Both are spheres but I'm not sure which one is more fragile.  

The Earth is not a true sphere, I have read the poles are flatter and it does change shape a little. It said that if it were a true sphere most of the landmass around the Equator would be submerged under the oceans. Well that would cool the deserts somewhat!
