Love Birds

The batteries in my Audiomoth recorder ran out after several years’ sterling service, and changing them proved more problematic than I’d expected, as it meant upgrading the software and re-configuring the device, but after several attempts, I finally got it right. I spent a chunk of today checking last night’s recordings. There was  the dawn chorus, which consisted of a great many songbirds too numerous to mention, and a couple of thrilling Tawny Owl calls in the small hours. these two Woodpigeons were billing and cooing on our veranda rail this afternoon.
