Sparkling stay

A very fine birthday. Bit of a lie-in, breakfast and presents, then hitting the road for Loch Lomond. 

Arrived at the Lodge on the Lcch and relaxed on the balcony, watching the shifting light and clouds on the hills. With a glass or two of fizz to keep the celebratory spirit going, 

Had a an early dinner which we really enjoyed, before a few (or maybe more than a few) drinks in the lounge. The rhubarb sherbet cocktail was delicious. 

Looked out over the loch later on. In pitch darkness, the lapping of the water sounded strangely menacing - where earlier it had been so soothing.
