Introverted Sphere

A massively heavy botryoidal malachite bowl.
Oftentimes minerals are polished into spheres or eggs (my husband’s eBay store has plenty) but this Mono Monday I decided to invert the theme with a hemispheric hollow.

Botryoidal refers to grape like crystal structures, which when polished make these lovely spherical patterns. Better in the original green, but I was playing with my camera’s mono filters.

Bumped into a friend at the GP’s today (accompanying my daughter), and also my own lovely GP (there as a parent). Lovely to see them both - time to be less mono myself (I’ve been very withdrawn/introverted this year)!
