Hummingbird Hawk Moth …

… on 2nd March! We normally only see these in the heat of the summer. It was 22*C on our balcony in the sun today and I saw two of these in pristine condition. Global warming has clearly tricked these strong fliers into thinking it is already summer.

A full on social day, with a young friend arriving this morning, then son Steve, then our two Canadian friends (extra for our ex colleagues as she used to work at Aiglon College). We definitely needed a walk after a big raclette lunch. Feet up now.

Hope you all had a good weekend. Thanks for your appreciation of yesterday’s rim lighting on the chamois. This afternoon I had just said to our friends, “We’ll take a detour to see the chamois, and there they were!”
