The Market House

Many Ulster towns have old market houses which also served as court houses, they all followed a similar design and this one in the town of Saintfield was built in 1803 by Nicholas Price.  It currently serves as the local Orange Hall. On the ground floor a cell still exists, no longer in use of course!  The other building with the Georgian doorway was a hotel many years ago, sadly the building has been unoccupied for some years, although I believe it is a listed building.
