Faded elegance

This dahlia is my emergency blip today, as it’s the only photo I’ve taken.  I noticed it had broken off the plant during the week so brought it inside and put it in a vase but now it’s definitely past its best.

I managed to get all the undercoating done today, so now it’s all go to get the top coats on, which might take a day or two.  

After a warm sunny day yesterday, today has been 10 degrees colder with hardly any sun at all.
