Piperia transversa

Royal Rein Orchid, or simply Piperia. A small orchid with delicate, horned white flowers growing on a single stalk--one of two Piperia species found in the park. A key to identification is that the basal leaves will be wilted by the time it flowers. I've found three of them since I first identified the species last week, all growing alone and unassumingly.
