2024 Friday — Travel Day

The photos starting in the upper left moving clockwise: the top of the hill at the south end of our street looking south toward Morro Bay; then looking out at Point San Luis near Avila Beach; then rolling thru Glendale, and finally our residential street in SoCal.

We exited the coast house at approximately 6:44 in a light rain, got the pups situated in the car, and we were rolling down the road. We were not delighted that we were experiencing rain, but hoped it would subside as we traveled.

Twice in our journey today, we drove thru moderate rain — from San Luis Obispo to Santa Maria and again as the highway neared the coast north of Santa Barbara.

Our driving time was 4 hours 30 minutes and overall time was 5 hours 10 minutes (which included 2 stops: Buellton —for McD’s scrambled eggs and gasoline; another at Wendy Drive to potty).

We are thankful for a safe journey. Our plan is to be here seven nights and head back this Friday, March 8 to California’s Central Coast. I have a bone density scan appointment; Mr. Fun gets to visit his family doctor, his nephrologist, and also have an echocardiogram. I also need to finish the paperwork to be ready for our tax appointment, which is this Tuesday morning.
