Well, that was a surprise!

Woken at 7am, thought the light in the room seemed brighter than usual. Getting up at 8.30am I discovered why! An inch of unexpected and unforecast snow; wish I’d got up earlier! By the time I squelched up the garden to feed the birds it was raining, and by lunchtime all but the last traces had disappeared. A cold, damp day of 4 degrees and a very cold night ahead. Should really have gone out and given the birds a second feed but, having said yesterday I felt better, have relapsed today. More snow in extras.
