Cragside

Back Blip

No trip to Northumberland would be complete without a visit to Cragside, NT property. 

The weather was abysmal when we first arrived, so we did the 6 mile carriage route and then headed for the house. 

Sadly the top floor was closed off for essential renovation works, which was unfortunate as R had never been before. Some of the garden paths were also closed off but we had a good walk around the grounds, which hopefully used up some of the calories consumed in the cafe :-)

Later we took our picnic down to the waterfall and watched these wonderful grey clouds come racing across. We only had a short dash to the car so luckily we didn't get wet.
