Stairway to Heaven

Always imagined the heavenly stairway as an escalator. Bit of a cliche, I know. Probably from watching Tom and Jerry cartoons. This train of thought made me think about Mandela and how different the world would be if he had not lived or been so courageous. I hope he has a peaceful end.
P.S Don't ask me where the people going down are heading to - I was truly focussed on the theme of going up.
