COMING IN FOR A LANDING
Yup - another Bumblebee. I must have taken well over 100 shots of bees on flowers today, but that's about all the activity going on around here. My goal was to include the bee's head in the image, because it seems 9 out of 10 shots are of the body, with the head tucked into a flower. This was the only (fairly) clear shot I had of a bee in flight, so that's why it's my blip today. She sure has a plump body, but then again they are so furry-looking that perhaps her actual body is quite slim. Those pollen-laden thighs, on the other hand, are huge. These little creatures are in constant fast motion. I know they store the pollen on their back legs, but I can never seem to catch the moment when they push the pollen there.
