Nik

We were here in Portland to see our grandson Nik today at Lewis and Clark College.    No we didn’t make a basketball game….. this photo of him in the most beautiful gym is what I have.   .. the season is over and we never wanted to chance driving here in the winter.    HA HA. today was about as bad as it gets without actual snow!!     We had a tour of his apartment and the gorgeous campus in cold pouring rain.   And then his choice of dinner in downtown Portland at Din Tai Fung….
 Earlier in the day H and I had a good walk along the waterfront  without rain! and ended up in the art museum, which is being renovated, but has an excellent exhibit of black artists of Oregon. 
Extra:  just to mark we were there….the 3 of us in a gazebo out of the rain,  H and N in front of the reflecting pool and at the restaurant.   I thot we ordered enough food that would last us for days but Nik is going for 5000 calories a day so there was hardly any left for him to take home. 
We had a wonderful time just us 3. …he’s a great kid !     He’s happy with the basketball he plays every day and he’s excited about his classes and internship .
