Man up a tree

Up in the night with Dad, then up early for the tree men who arrived in the rain at 8am to pollard the back garden trees, though sadly not the neighbour’s conifers. By the time they left the saturated back lawn looked like a muddy WWI battlefield, I kid you not. When N arrived to sit with Dad this afternoon she was horrified at its state, and we’ve another weather warning for heavy rain overnight and tomorrow.

Thank you so much for all your recent kind comments, we’re both starting to feel a bit better but I’m still totally washed out so this afternoon took myself off for a couple of hours with my aromatherapy set and promptly nodded off in the bath.
