Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring

Commencing tomorrow in Portobello is the ‘Window Wanderland’. 

This year’s theme is ‘Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring’. This could reflect the change of seasons in Portobello or it could be more conceptual relating to light, new life, hope etc. The theme is only a guide, there’s no need for windows to follow it. The only boundary is imagination and anything goes… as long as it’s family friendly. 

People are encouraged not to buy new, but instead to use what you have creatively. Empty plastic bottles, or cartons, cereal boxes, colourful tissue paper etc. can all be repurposed. 

It should be fun to see what people have done to their windows and I may blip some in the next few days.
