Called the 'new' bridge in these parts, it was actually opened in 1987 as part of a scheme to improve traffic flow. The day before vehicles were allowed to use it, I took part in a sponsored bike ride which was was quite novel, allowing a new view over the river and a gloriously car free route. I wouldn't want to cycle along it now though.
