Waking Up

As we move into Spring in the northern hemisphere the gardens start to wake up. The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens near Romsey in Hampshire is primarily an arboretum notable for its collection of oaks, camellia, magnolia and rhododendron. With our warm winter season many are already in full bud and some of the camellia already in bloom.

I really liked the red of this malus leaf bud erupting out of its green lichen-encrusted branch as my entry for today's Tiny Tuesday Challenge.
