Spring is in the air with the old and the new

Went hunting for signs of Spring and found loads. My entry for the Tiny Tuesday challenge of “Spring is in the air” is a new pointed bud with the shriveled unshed old leaves (marcescence) of the common beech tree. It looks a bit like an elegant stick lady with a bouffant hair style, a ballooning skirt and billowing sleeves.
Just two more days of Mono February. It’s been an interesting challenge and encouraged me to find different subjects to blip but it will be nice to bring back some colour to my journal.
