Today is my Birthday and we have had a really lovely day. We walked along the coastal path to the Souter Lighthouse which is a National Trust property. After listening to an interesting talk and learning about the history of the lighthouse and community, we climbed up the very steep steps to the top and the views were amazing looking right along the coast we could see as far as St Mary’s lighthouse in Whitley Bay. This evening we have been out for a nice meal to celebrate.
