A full day at work today, pick up and drop off at Brownies, cleaned out the guinea pigs and cooked dinner which I very nearly burnt. Now I'm worn out! John is working again this evening, he is under so much pressure at work it's not good for him.
I didn't take any photos so here is a snap of an ornament I brought in Egypt in about 2005. It was my first trip of many to Egypt and I remember getting a friend of mine to haggle for me as I was, and still am useless at haggling. I am the sort of person who pays well over the odds to avoid the embarrassment of trying to haggle! I don't remember what I paid for this, but I still really like it.
Egypt is a special place for me. I have visited so many times for diving trips and to see the sights. Many of these trips were on my own. I like to travel alone. I once spent Christmas day in Cairo as a single traveller and visited most of the major siteseeing places on my own which I am quite proud of. I also met John in Egypt, I there when I was on my sabbatical and he was on a break from work. He previously worked in Egypt for a year or so. It's a special place to both of us. I love the country and the people. I look forward to taking the girls one day.
