A Day In The Life

Blue Bomb

I was focused on this red-bellied woodpecker when a bluebird with a mealworm in his beak flew in just as I squeezed the shutter button. The woodpecker immediately turned to see who was in his space before flying off. I’ve since added suet pellets to the feeder for his next visit. Isn’t his head color magnificent? • There’s some courting happening too. A titmouse was all aflutter for male attention; both wings trembled while she hopped from branch to branch. The cardinals are sitting close together too and I expect to see the male feeding his lady soon. Love is definitely in the air! • A beautiful spring-like day, perfect for walking and birdwatching :) • Peace & Love
