Borrowdale
It's on my doorstep but I don't visit often enough. I decided to tick a few things off "the list' starting with a quick visit to the The Bowder Stone. It's an interesting landscape on the way with moss covered boulders and abandoned slate quarries. Basically it's a huge rock with a metal staircase to get to the top!
I've always wanted to find Borrowdale Mill. Thanks to Daniel Kays precise instructions I arrived with Tom. I'd parked at Seatoller National Trust car park - I'm pleased I have a membership card.
We were both in need of a pit stop at this point and were delighted by the ambience and delicious food at The Square Orange in Keswick.
