Emerging

Walked through the Abbey Gardens on our way to the shopping centre in Bury St Edmunds today & noticed one largish area of bark chippings under trees near the main entrance. A sign requested that people did not walk over it because of the Spring bulbs, and, sure enough, there were some miniature daffodils (Hoop petticoat ones?) & a few crocuses appearing through the chippings. A pity I didn't have my "proper" camera, but the phone down at ground level didn't do too badly!
