Elderflowers

It's the season for making Elderflower Cordial. I'm picking almost daily and have made getting on for 20 litres of cordial already to freeze which will last me through the winter months. Of course some it is being turned into Elderflower Vodka, a favourite of mine. The lady whose house is side on to the footpath opposite my house very thoughtfully lets her garden get overgrown with elder which hangs over her fence and means I only have to walk about 20 metres to harvest the elderflowers. Amy and Andrew used to refer to her as the "wicked witch" in their childhood days because she was always ranting at them when they hung around outside her house.
