Calm after the storm

We've been having a lot of thunder and rain storms recently with way more than average accumulations. We have no worries about significant flooding here but when we continue to watch the devastation of the floods around Calgary, it really is heart breaking. There's still a whole town that remains evacuated as the infrastructure is totally destroyed and it's starting to look like 13000 people will never get back into their homes. Some areas received over 200mm of rain in 48 hrs and the river arteries just can't handle that volume and as it gradually drains away from Calgary, it continues to flood everywhere downstream. All records are being broken and some people still deny this is climate change!

I seem to have lost my blip momentum these days (do have a couple of back blips if interested) but I have been following everyone's journals and continue to see amazing photos. But... I have been reading books and studying the art of oil painting instead of getting into trouble spending too much time on the computer!
