Habits

Exactly one year after what was by far the hardest time of my professional life (finishing my thesis), I find myself falling into the same pattern of habits. Grant writing: locked myself up at home without internet but with my French press (which is in fact the same one as last year!), chocolate, loads of papers and long days. Only a nice view, binoculars to watch the occasional groundhog grazing on the lawn and Fran's thesis have been added to the equation. Oh, and by silently lying here by my side, my thesis is telling me I can do it. I will finish this. At some point.
