The sign of spring

I’m concerned that when I retire that I will waste my days so today I’ve walked down town for lots of errands. I’ve walked about 5 miles.

I had a coffee at the mill and while I was there a swan was stuck in one of the streams. The water was flowing so quickly that it couldn’t get out. While I was there people were phoning rescue places. Just after I left the Swan Centre arrived and rescued the swan. The swan was rather tired so he’s been taken away for a rest.

Having finished my errands I walked back home again.

It had rained lightly most of the time that I was out but since arriving home it has poured.
