Government research shows that 30% of all road deaths would have been prevented had they been wearing a seatbelt.
Modern vehicle safety devices are designed to work in conjunction with seatbelts; they are not as effective and can sometimes even be hazardous when a seatbelt is not worn.
"Seat Belt On? will raise awareness of road safety through education and publicity to all age groups from the very young to the oldest drivers and passengers on our roads."
