Today's the day .......................... for a cup of tea outside

There's no doubt that whoever originally planned the garden here, was a lover of spring flowers.

There must be literally hundreds of daffodils - of many different kinds and sizes - as well as the crocuses, primroses, snowdrops, grape hyacinths and all the rest.  Always spectacular in the spring are two Magnolia stellata that must be quite old now and I won't even start to tell you about all the apple and cherry trees.

So I absolutely love it when we get to this point in the year when it's all beginning to burst forth, with wave upon wave of wonderful colours.  And today, it was sunny enough to sit outside this afternoon - and have a cup of tea ......................
