slowly receding

The water's gone down a little.  Some of the footpaths are still swamp-like though.

Also receding is my mental capacity. I've done one of those things that make me feel as if I've lost my marbles.  As it happens I know just where my marbles are.  What I've lost are hundred of photos.  

A back up session has gone wrong and my photo library now stops at September 12th 2023.  As does the back up of the back up.

Luckily I can restore all my blips since that date by painstakingly dragging them onto my desk-stop.  And all my India photos are on my MacBook. It's going to take a while though.

I am surprised (as is Anniemay) at just how mature I am taking all this.  Normally I would be screaming the house down at something like this.  For reasons I can't quite work out, I am quite calm. As my dear old mother used to say "worse things happen at sea".
