Grasshopper

A quick blip today as I have a busy day, followed by a big garden party in Toulouse later - ooh, get me ....

This may well be a young grasshopper, as it is not green and it was absolutely tiny.

Today's music blip is Francis Cabrel - La Corrida

Francis Cabrel comes from Agen, in the Lot and Garonne département (47) - not too far from Toulouse and his south west accent is clearly heard in his songs.

This is ostensibly, an anti bullfighting song, sang through the eyes of a bull as it enters the arena.

This has started some sort of polemic in France as Cabrel sponsors the fête de Bayonne, where bullfighting is on the agenda - an unfortunate and cruel practice that is carried out in south west France.
Cabrel retorts that he is in favor of the bull running but not the corrida, which he says is in a minority.
However, bull fighting is prevalent in the departments of the south west, notably in Nîmes, Arles, Bayonne, Vic Fezensac, Carcassonne and others.
