Living in two worlds
Youngest son Luke who has lived in China for the last 3 and a bit years. He speaks Mandarin pretty well and most of the time which means that when he comes home, he finds himself thinking in both Mandarin and English which can be a bit of a mental struggle. Sometimes, he even struggles to find the English word to express a thought that has come to him in Mandarin. This mental battle was the inspiration for this picture with his Chinese and English lives depicted; one in each half of his head.
This at least is a problem that Rosina won't experience with her move to Australia, but if she comes home talking like an extra out of neighbours, I won't be impressed :-)
