Terry and Aileen

Terry’s birthday bash last night was a great success, lots of friends from different walks of life.  Many we didn’t know.
So today, our group of 12 congregated here for morning tea, and lunch.  Our Nelson couple didn’t stay for lunch as they had a big drive ahead of them, the rest of us enjoyed a simple lunch (I had made a big vegetable quiche yesterday morning), breads and salad followed by this amazing cake supplied by Aileen and Terry.  A colourful closeup shown in extra.
A snapped this while he was cutting the cake, with guidance from Aileen.  Terry doesn’t look good, remembering that he only came out of hospital on Wednesday from a very nasty bout of pneumonia.  Terry has had ill health for many years, he is so stoic and never complains, a great guy and special friend for far too many years.
Our visitors are heading home tomorrow, it’s been a special and fun weekend.
