Parkrun crocus
A slow but steady parkrun today. It seemed hard with the mud, but I was glad to be out in the beautiful Prom after so many days of recovery. Some anomalies for the results, but nothing that was irredeemable. B and I had a lovely chat to a first time lady from Mersea, which was cancelled, she commented how friendly we are and said that she loved the enthusiastic support from our wonderful team of volunteers. She commented that they are so much more encouraging than those at her home run. Sometimes we can forget just how fab the volunteers are.
The rugby was disappointing for Welsh and England fans. However, I really enjoyed the Calcutta Cup challenge in Murrayfield. As G pointed out, It was fun being in an England Scotland household - even though I was on the losing side. A perfect match from Scotland. Line outs, Fin and Van de Merver.
They totally deserve the Calcutta Cup. 1896 was the last time that Scotland won it for 4 consecutive years, so a new record.
