The accidental finding

Getting there

I've finished uploading the text and photos for my travel diary! This took me four and a half hours of working flat out (in bed, to minimise distractions) this morning, and an hour or two of more fiddling with images when I got back this evening. This collage is made up of some business cards and tickets I picked up on my January trip to India.

In between I went out with S to meet V for coffee at Curio Lounge. I managed to get a birthday present for my mother too: a very soft toy dog, maybe a golden Labrador puppy.  It's difficult to know what to get her now that her dementia is so advanced, but I thought something tactile might be suitable. Steve's mother was fond of a soft toy pig I gave her when she was ill at home.  The pup came in what I'd describe as a horrid sparkly bag, so I asked the staff to cut the cord between the two items, and V took the bag for her granddaughter.

When I got back I carried on with the travel diary, then sorted out a few bits and pieces I still hadn't put away after my trip, and then microwaved the supper for Steve and I: he's busy watching Rugby League, after the Rugby Union big game. In case you're living in a parallel universe, (Scotland won the Calcutta Cup).

Mentally, I am now exhausted after such a massive effort. I still have to proof read, of course, but it's a relief to have got most of the hard work done. I've walked over 7,000 steps, far better than yesterday, but I don't know that I'll get to 8,000. It seems that  I start the week off really well with, say, 10.000 steps then go steadily downhill.
