Silly Saturday - String of Pearls

Spiders are very persistent with their cobwebs. The gaps in the decking fence must be a hot spot for flies. As soon as I go round knocking down the webs, they replace them with new ones.
There is a story about Robert the Bruce who was king of Scotland. He had battled the English five times and failed. He was in a cave, licking his wounds and feeling very sorry for himself, when he noticed a small spider that was trying to spin a web. The spider kept dropping to the floor, but it didn’t give up. It kept trying until it succeeded.
Robert went out one more time and on this occasion managed to beat the old enemy and survive as King of Scotland.
