Lounge in the dining room

I'm cheating here, I took this photo yesterday.  I could have taken it again today, but left it till after dark, and the daylight one is more effective.

I spent a couple of hours emptying a bookcase that is in the upstairs landing, and clearing stuff from the spare bedroom (also being painted next week).  There are still some bigger items to move, but it's mostly done now.  We're going out tomorrow afternoon, and I'm also out on Sunday afternoon, so we really wanted to get most done today.

W spent time tidying outside, but wasn’t feeling the urge to start on the raised beds - he want to dig up the turf from between them and lay it upside-down inside, before adding soil - quite a major undertaking.

He managed to track down someone to look at the drains, except there seems to have been a misunderstanding somewhere, and the chap rang at 5.30ish, and was going to come at 7pm - we pointed out that the drainage problem was outside, and it was dark by then!  We do have some concerns with some of the house drains as well, but that wasn't what we had asked him to look at in the first instance.
