Corydalis malkensis
Caught in the morning sunlight. Growing from a tiny tuber, this delicate little beauty appears above ground for just a few weeks in early spring. A plant of open woodland, wild in the North Caucasus region, it is an easy garden plant in the UK and will seed around freely when happy. Never a weed as it's almost ferny foliage dies away after a few short weeks.
A foray in the garden in the sunshine was relatively brief as the cold north-westerly wind made it feel even colder than it was, more than offsetting the sun's rays. Then a spell at pottery where the kiln engineer had come from The Potteries to service the kilns. Interesting to learn a bit more about them. I did a little glazing, starting on the Hull handiwork, returning in the afternoon to carry on where I left off. Meg and I went to Rhydyronen where her new friend Idris joined us in the ball field where the dogs had a good run together before we walked down the lane to Bryncrug with Idris and Claire.
A quiet night in for a change!
