Australia Day 19 - Studley Park

Not far from the MCG the Yarra river is very twisty. A boathouse (extra) was established there in the 1860s. 

A couple of twists further down is this area where the Deep Rock Swimming and Life Saving Club was established in 1906. In 1918 a crowd of more than 70,000 (tight squeeze) watched as Alick Wickham made a world record dive of 62.7m from the side opposite.
