Chinatown

Had to go into Victoria today for a couple of appointments and thought I'd take some photos in Chinatown. There was so much construction downtown that it was hard to get good shots.
I decided to walk down to the parliament buildings to try to get some shots. People everywhere. I knew it was the opening of the new session of our provincial government but I forgot about all the hoopla around that. I'll be posting some photos on flickr tomorrow. The 15 gun salute was deafening!
I picked up our local paper on my way home and read that there was a pod of killer whales in Fulford Harbour yesterday! How I would have loved to have seen them.
