Bonjour!

The herons are quite back for the season; I have been charmed in the early quiet while rowing my shell, and this one was at our back door on the float that my husband launches his boat from. Just looking around! They are my most favorite bird, so grand, so stealth, their form so elegant, their flight so powerful and quiet at the same time.

And yes, more rain today!
