Magical New Snow …

… above 2000m on one of my favourite walks from Les Plans to Le Richard with Lucy. We were in deep shade for an hour and a half with a cold wind against our faces coming down the valley. This was the first sun appearance. Just above Le Richard the valley opens out and we could sit and watch the chamois on the slopes opposite, this morning struggling a bit in deep snow higher up (extra). We were just about to leave our picnic spot when 4 big male bouquetin (3 in extra) walked across the same snow patch where the chamois had been. Such majestic animals in their winter habitat. Neither of us had seen bouquetins in this area before.  So very happy, I am not sure which should be a main photo.

Have a great weekend everyone.
