More stars and stripes. 
This week beginning Tuesday has been the annual American  car festival; Americarna. More than 800 cars are taking part. They drive around the mountain stopping at different towns for several hours. Saturdays blip was an early arrival. Yesterday's vehicle was leaving the coast to join the others inland at Inglewood. Tomorrow is the final day when all the cars will be parked in New Plymouth's main street until 3pm. Many of the city's businesses and shops are bedecked with American flags all week, these are at the American Diner which naturally has the biggest and the most flags.
