Over Yonder

This Is What You Think It Is

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

There was a lot of "cupping" talk yesterday. A LOT.

So I talked Caro into doing it for a photo which I would then send to EVERYONE because hilarious.

It got the required reaction. And hopefully again from you right now*.

In other news, me and Caro both had really good days. I had a nice lunchtime with Olivia and Luke and a fun day with the pair. He covered Olivia's desk in stickies saying things like, "You're AMAZING!" and "Thank you for being YOU!" and "Cupping!" and things like that. (See the extra).

But it wasn't ALL about Olivia. He also sent me emails saying things like, "This is just to clog up your inbox" and "Quack".

And Caro went for an interview for a job as a Funeral Director's Assistant! Yes! Feefs's dream job!

I haven't really updated you on Feefs's career but it sort of fizzled out, sadly. She didn't get on too well with the people at the funeral home and she doesn't do it anymore. She was sad, but she has moved on.

Caro, meanwhile, was just looking for some quiet little job. Basic admin for a little bit of extra income.

NINETY MINUTES OF INTERVIEW LATER

She had a BLAST! She LOVED the people! She LOVED the sound of the job! She said they were talking to her like they were old mates by the end!

The FDA job is in Waikenae, and would be approximately a 15 minute commute for her from our house. Plus, she'd get to hang out with nice people 2 or 3 days a week! Some of them would even be alive!

Not only that but she said it could be an actual, genuine career! They see her progressing to actual Funeral Director and everything! She has been called through for a 2nd interview next week, when she'll be properly shown around!

"Is this where you try to see if people faint?" she asked.

"Well... yes..." they admitted.

Caro is no fainter.

So she was really happy and upbeat today and it was lovely to see. I'm aware of how much of a toll these past few weeks of feeling undervalued and bypassed has had on her. Seeing her back to her old self warmed my heart.

And so I took it upon myself to warm her... um.... other place... this evening. As you can see, it clearly worked.

* This photo is taken one second before Caro just about peed her pants laughing btw.
