Biscuits and coffee, brought from home — my ever faithful morning coffee break. It’s surprising how much I enjoy this simple pleasure.

It is mad the difference in my spending compared to when I was at my last job, now that I’m budgeting because I essentially have no idea what savings I’ll need post-PhD. Other than petrol I typically spend £0 in the week (I’m not a social creature anymore). At SomeOne I’d buy breakfast, lunch, some form of afternoon snack, and at least two coffees, every single day. Madness. Just watch that habit creep back in the second I’ve got a paying job again though….!
