You Can Sail the Seven Seas

Oh my days 

I was taking my usual longer than typical route to work to avoid the inevitable.

As I got near the Banking I could see mechanical scaffolding over the edge of the slope

My little heart skipped a beat... Once upon a.time it would be a mine sweeper: making its way round the land to enter the harbour fo a weekend 

No more.  

Not since the Navy abandoned Minesweepers  and the harbour was altered to accept roll on roll.off ferries (and that didn't last long either)

As i turned the corner my wee heart lifted. It was indeedy a Navy Boat.  Very close in , I was a wee bitty concerned they might crash 

But they didn't 

I'd like to think it was just a boatful of sailors just having a wee off shore look at a town which used to be a great run ashore
