Clashing water flows, crashing pebbles
Back blip! Should have uploaded it yesterday but thev21st was already filled in by the 20th so here you have what should be the 21st! Took sky for a long walk to Central Park in the pouring rain! He was very good off lead and came when called! In parts of the park dogs have to be on lead but fortunately most of it is off lead!
I got back to the flat in time to clear up and get a taxi to church for a friend’s husband’s funeral! I thought it started at 1.30 but in fact it started at 12.30 so I was very late but glad I had been! Liz, my friend, had worked in emergency when I was a receptionist there and she reminded me that I had encouraged her to join the philharmonic choir which I had forgotten! The coffin was in church and unusually after the service the family stayed in church to greet and chat and body was taken for burial! Liz had only been retired for three weeks when her husband died very unexpectedly of a heart attack in front of her after walking the dog! She did cCPR and the ambulance was there within 6 minutes and the air ambulance also arrived but to no avail! The dog, a one year old black lab, will be a blessing as will her two grandchildren.
When I gave her a hug she said that she would not be singing in our current concert but would be back after Easter to sing! Got the bus back home and later went for a walk with Sian and the dogs! I was waiting at the front and watching as the water was swept in and then swept out of the pool and the meeting place caused white lines and bubbles and the waves returning to the sea caused the pebbles to tumble and created a lovely sound! A lovely moment of calm and refreshment!
